Video Game of ICC cricket Worldcup 2011

Cricket fans may just be in for a treat this year..

With the World Cup scheduled this year, Codemasters will be releasing their new Cricket game which will be the official one for ICC World Cup 2011.
Moreover, Zapak Games will be publishing a number of casual Cricket games this year and Codemasters will be doing the same for PS3, Xbox and for the PC.

"Zapak plans to launch 11 cricket games in the next seven months for its gamers. A casual flash-based game can be sourced for a cost of Rs 10 lakh. For the World Cup 2011, the Codemasters game will be released on the PS3, XBOX360 and PC format"- said Rohit Sharma , chief executive of Zapak.
Codemasters and EA Sports are the main companies who have released a no. of Cricket titles with EA missing the fun for a long amount of time now, their last game was 4 years ago. Though Codemasters released International Cricket 2010 last year but it was not available on PC.
The game will be called ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 and is expected to be officially licensed by ICC (International Cricket Council). It will remove the possibility of absurd naming of teams and the players which are generally seen in non-licensed sports games.
As Cricket doesn’t attract much attention from gaming biggies because of its limited popularity in some parts of the world so we don’t get to see a new game every Sept-Nov. This announcement is exciting and will surely gel with the coming World Cup. But we want EA too, to join the event.

The promises a lot of action for PC gamers too as it’ll also be getting a release for said platform.
